JUNIOR IMPLEMENTATION SPECIALIST, JOHANESBURG, GAUTENG
Participate in project teams using the SCN implementation methodology to integrate and implement solutions to address business objectives and priorities as they relate to our clients Supply Chain Management. Participate in training efforts of new clients during the implementation stage. Contribute to the evolution and growth of the Professional Services practice by developing and/or updating best practices, implementation solutions, and implementation methodologies. Attain comprehensive knowledge of a product set of SCN’s logistics and supply chain application software.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Industrial Engineering or Logistics/Supply Chain Management.
- 1-3 years of relevant project implementation experience. (Applications from candidates with <1 year experience and job starters are welcome, too).
- Ability to learn and apply learned information during implementation of SCN’s software solutions at customer sites.
- Knowledge of software deployment strategies, operational and functional specification development methodology, and IT deployment strategies.
- Knowledge of logistical processes and strategies, translation of operational and functional specification into system functionalities.
- Demonstrated experience in effectively participating in project team environments.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills focused on client project teams.
- Ability to travel approximately 50-75% of the time to client and prospect sites.
- Ability to multi-task in a demanding, fast-paced integration environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and present a professional image.

CUSTOMER SUPPORT ENGINEER LEVEL I, JOHANNESBURG, GAUTENG
The central responsibilities of this position are to provide first level product support to SCN customers, employees and affiliates. You will be required to acquire and maintain knowledge of SCN’s products, as well as current PC software and hardware standards. You must be able to utilize this knowledge to troubleshoot and diagnose issues. Additionally, you will be required to keep the customer informed about how and when problems are resolved, and document customer questions and issues. You will understand and follow the Performance Standards associated with this position.
Position responsibilities:
- Answer/Triage inbound calls to call center
- When you are unable to resolve the problem yourself, route calls to appropriate second level support team via call tracking tool
- Gather all necessary environmental, product, and activity information from the customer to accurately diagnose and resolve a problem
- Adhere to call logging procedures as defined
- Maintain professional and courteous communication with customers and team members
- Ensure call volumes and other metrics are consistent with expectations
- Maintain appropriate level of technical knowledge
- Be available to assist other team members in overall success of the Help Desk
Qualifications and requirements:
- Bachelors Degree
- Minimum two years experience in IT, emphasis on customer support for software product
- Solid understanding of relational database concepts and working knowledge of SQL. Familiarity with ORACLE is a plus.
- Understanding of web technologies (e.g. web servers), networking, graphical user interfaces, and the Windows operating systems, XML.
- Proven experience analyzing and troubleshooting software products, including the ability to break down complex technical problems and articulate them
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent time management, decision-making and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a team-based environment and contribute as a team player
- Strong knowledge of networking – especially WiFi technology
- Pluses include: familiarity with speech recognition applications, warehouse management systems, HTTP/web and Linux, Unix, JAVA.
